Winchester Sports’ youth baseball and softball programming is poised to begin practice the week of April 6, based on field conditions, according to the Winchester Recreation & Community Education spring schedule. The programs include a Rookie Division for children turning four to five by May 1, 2026, featuring tee‑ball play without scoring or strike‑outs. The Veterans Division, for those aged six and older, transitions midway to coach pitching after starting with tee‑ball, with three‑inning games or 75‑minute sessions, and equal field time for all participants. Winchester Sports is featured as part of this inclusive youth development initiative.
