In a demanding field of six teams, the club’s men's team won four of five matches, including decisive victories over SC DHfK Leipzig and TV Stammheim, sealing its first-ever ascent to the 2. Bundesliga. The result marks a milestone achievement in the club’s over-century-long history and underscores the strength of its Faustball program.
