Brandy Hole Yacht Club

Up River Yacht Club recently hosted the Streaker East Anglian and South East Series, where competitors navigated the River Crouch’s shifting tides toward Brandy Hole. The fleet, led by Neil Firth of Banbury SC and URYC sailor Ian Gore, rounded the opening marks before engaging in closely fought races, with strong performances from Tim and Ben Harris, Jack Gore, Ian Bradley, and Dave Adams. The event demonstrated strategic sailing along the stretch leading to Brandy Hole, with close competition through all three races. The club’s management of the open meeting was noted for its effectiveness both on and off the water.
