Meanwhile, national interest in pickleball remains strong. At the AO Pickleball Slam held at Melbourne Park from January 30 to February 1, 2026, Team Hardware claimed the championship with notable performances across singles and doubles disciplines. Additionally, Pickleball Australia estimates that over 92,000 individuals played pickleball in the past year, underlining the sport’s rapid expansion across Australia.
