Brookings’ Post 74 Team, known as the Bandits, secured a pair of low‑scoring victories over the Aberdeen Smittys on Thursday night at Bob Shelden Field. In game one, Brookings prevailed in a 2‑1 contest. The second game concluded in five innings due to weather, with Cooper Schneider delivering the game‑winning RBI single in the bottom of the fifth to seal the sweep. The doubleheader win adds momentum for the club as it continues its Legion baseball schedule at Bob Shelden Field in Brookings. Additionally, the field will host the 2025 Brookings Auto Mall Classic for 13/14U teams from June 27–29.
