The Altoona Baseball League, operating under the Altoona AAABA banner, will introduce interleague regular-season play with the Johnstown AAABA League beginning summer 2026. Each of the four Altoona teams—Cumming Motors, Cogan Electric, Imler’s Poultry and an unnamed sponsor team—will face off in two games apiece against the four Johnstown teams, alongside ongoing intra‑league matchups. Game venues will rotate among Altoona’s refurbished Veterans Field, Johnstown’s Sargent Stadium at the Point, and Mount Aloysius College’s ballpark. Both leagues will hold their own playoffs to determine representatives for the 2026 AAABA National Tournament starting August 3. The arrangement aims to bolster competition and opportunities for local players within Blair County.
