The University of Wisconsin lightweight rowing team delivered a strong competitive performance in the recent Wisco Duel held at Occoquan Reservoir, where it faced off against Georgetown University. The Wisconsin lightweight double sculls (2x) crew secured a win, outperforming Georgetown’s 2x in a close contest down the 2000-meter course. In the varsity four-plus event, the Badgers again prevailed, clinching victory with a bow-deck overlap at the finish line. The final race featured varsity eight-plus boats, where Wisconsin trailed Georgetown by approximately one and a half boat lengths at the line. The duel provided both teams with valuable early-season racing exposure.
