Wilmington Sharks

The Wilmington Sharks, a Coastal Plain League collegiate summer baseball team, prepare to enter their 30th season with promising momentum. The club stated that it averaged over 1,300 fans per game last season and plans to introduce a Kids Zone at Buck Hardee Field alongside enhanced promotions and corporate sponsorship initiatives to enhance the fan experience. The Sharks continue to benefit from strong community engagement as they build toward another competitive summer. Meanwhile, a newly formed summer team, the Cape Fear Ghost Crabs, will begin play on Memorial Day at UNCW’s Brooks Field, introducing fresh local summer baseball excitement in the region.
