West Tampa Little League

West Tampa Little League recently completed the restoration of the historic Little League field at St. Joseph’s Catholic School, returning it to active use for baseball and softball. The club partnered with community leaders to refurbish a long-neglected field that once hosted future major leaguers such as Tony La Russa, Lou Piniella, Dave Magadan and Tino Martinez. The renovation responds to surging interest in youth baseball and softball, as the league now serves nearly 400 players and had outgrown its previous facilities, officials said. This revived venue is expected to support physical education classes and t‑ball games, offering safer, improved playing conditions for the community’s youth.
