Trent Peterson and Kurt Lambert opened the MPGA Public Links Championship at Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury with identical scores of 5‑under 67, sharing the 18‑hole lead. Peterson, aiming for his second win of the season and fifth overall in the event, carded four birdies on the front nine and added another late birdie to reach 67. Lambert matched that score with an eagle on the par‑5 fourth and three birdies to offset a solitary bogey. The duo leads by one stroke over Owen Rexing and Carson Boe as play moves to the final round at the Twin Cities‑area facility.
