The West Kootenay Baseball Association remains active in the region as Trail Youth Baseball, operating under its banner, stages upcoming tryouts at Butler Park in Trail. The club has announced U15 BC Summer Games Zone 1 tryouts for players born in 2011–2012, scheduled for April 26 from 12:00–3:00 PM at Butler Park. Additionally, a new 13U zone team will hold separate tryouts on April 10 from 5:00–7:00 PM at the same venue. These events mark a continuation of local development pathways under the West Kootenay Baseball Association umbrella.
