The Town of North Hempstead recently completed significant improvements to several Little League baseball fields, transitioning infields to synthetic turf surfaces at Caemmerer Park, Fuschillo Park, and the Eighth & Asbury Ballfield. These enhancements, funded through the American Rescue Plan Act, aim to improve playability and reduce weather-related cancellations. The upgrades include installation of synthetic turf infields, enhanced dugouts, reconstructed fencing, portable mounds, and irrigation modifications.
