TJ Horal Rýmařov z.s.

TJ Horal Rýmařov z.s. upheld its annual spring tradition in mid‑March by organizing a competitive indoor climbing event dubbed the “Osmitisícovka” on the local climbing wall at SVČ Rýmařov. Participants were tasked with ascending a cumulative height of 8,126 m via an 8‑metre wall, simulating a Nanga Parbat ascent. The event attracted 39 competitors, reflecting growing interest in sport climbing. In the youth category, Julie Vincentová from Polička reached 776 m, while in the men’s senior division, Michal Kuda (Polička) led with 784 m, followed by TJ Horal Rýmařov’s Ondřej Šimek at 760 m and Ondřej Janošťák at 584 m. Among women, Polička’s Jana Nyklová ml. topped the rankings with 880 m, with TJ Horal Rýmařov climbers Nikola Slezáčková and Ivana Hofírková placing next at 760 m and 560 m, respectively. The event was supported by the town of Rýmařov and local sponsors.
