Southern Athletics Baseball Academy

Texarkana’s baseball and softball community will see a surge in activity this month as the City of Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department announced 17 tournaments scheduled at the Swanger Sports Complex. The tournaments will feature regional groups including BASE, USSSA, BATT, NCS, and 2D Sports, with team participation expected from across Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. The Swanger Sports Complex, opened in May 2025, features fully turfed fields, covered dugouts and bleachers, modern restrooms, concession stands, and a partially covered turf courtyard, enhancing the competition environment. Although not directly involved in event operations, Southern Athletics Baseball Academy shares the region’s vibrant baseball and softball scene.
