Shelby Post 82 Baseball

Shelby Post 82 Baseball is noted as one of the first teams to call Shelby’s Veterans Field at Keeter Stadium home when the venue opened in March 1976. The team, alongside Shelby High School, transitioned from the old Sumter Street ballpark to the newly built stadium, marking a new era for local American Legion baseball. The field, originally named Veterans Field and renamed Veterans Field at Keeter Stadium in 2002, has since become a central venue for the sport in the region.
