Alberton Oval

Port Adelaide Football Club has revealed detailed plans for a AUD 351 million (USD 250 million) mixed‑use precinct, dubbed “Alberton Square,” surrounding historic Alberton Oval. The club acquired 26 residential properties over three years to assemble approximately 20,000 sqm of land extending to Port Road and intends to develop commercial, residential and health facilities to ensure long‑term financial sustainability. Alberton Oval will remain the spiritual and operational home for the club, with the new development aimed at future‑proofing operations for at least 150 years, the club’s leadership said. Planning and code amendment processes are now underway, with community information sessions held in March 2026.
