Parks and Recreation staff in Cohasset have proposed a $625,000 project to rebuild two Little League fields—including elements likely used by Freedom Field - Cohasset Little League, such as backstops, fencing, dugouts, batting cages, bleachers and scoreboards. The plan would replace deteriorating infrastructure with upgraded safety and usability features, like padded backstops and bonded perimeter fencing, and is slated to be submitted to the Community Preservation Committee as a capital request. If approved, the project would proceed through CAPCOM, FINCOM and ultimately town meeting for final authorization.
