OGB FC has been recognised for their success after emerging as winners of the 2023 Nigerian Soccer League competition. The club’s captain, Malone Koroma (“Kaloko”), received the US–Nigeria Soccer League/PSN FA Cup trophy during a presentation held at Walker's Mill Park in Maryland, United States. The event was attended by Femi Soneye, publisher of Per Second News, and former Super Eagles star Jonathan Akpoborie, who jointly presented the accolade. OGB FC’s triumph in the competition was officially celebrated at the US venue, underscoring the team’s achievement within the diaspora’s football community.
