Queensland Firebirds debuted a revitalised roster in the 2026 Suncorp Super Netball season, hosting defending champions Melbourne Vixens at Nissan Arena. The club’s trans‑Tasman trio—Kelly Jackson, Maddy Gordon and Te Paea Selby‑Rikit—made their first appearances, aiming to inject experience and stability across all thirds. Captain Ruby Bakewell‑Doran emphasised that the blend of Kiwi experience with Australian style has already brought a fresh dynamic to the team.
