MTV Oldendorf’s men’s Faustball team secured the Niedersachsen championship and now targets promotion to the 2. Bundesliga. The title was clinched with decisive 2–0 victories against Nordel and Lemwerder, earning qualification for the promotion round. Coach Carsten Weusthoff emphasized the young squad’s potential to succeed at the next level. The promotion decider will be held at their home ground in Oldendorf on Saturday, August 2, with six clubs competing for two promotion spots. The club last competed in the 2. Bundesliga in the 1980s and now aims to return four decades later. The team benefits from home advantage heading into this critical phase.
