Lynchburg Hillcats

The Lynchburg Hillcats, newly rebranded as the Hill City Howlers, delivered a remarkable comeback in their recent outing. Trailing by as many as seven runs, the team rallied from an 8‑1 deficit to tie the game and force extra innings before sealing a 9‑8 walk‑off victory in the 11th inning against the Hickory Crawdads. Only one run of the win was driven in by a hit; the remaining rally poured in via walks, hit batters, wild pitches and a sacrifice fly. The win cements an improbable turnaround for the Howlers in a single‑A Carolina League clash. The Howlers now prepare for a road series at Delmarva before returning home.
