Hattiesburg’s youth sports landscape gained momentum with the Hattiesburg Parks & Recreation Department launching a new girls softball league for ages 6 to 10. The league includes 8-and-under and 10-and-under divisions focused on teaching throwing, catching, hitting, base running, teamwork and sportsmanship. Games and practices will take place at Timberton Park, with opening day set for March 31 and a registration deadline of February 25, including a $35 uniform fee. While not directly involving P360 Performance Sports Hattiesburg, the youth league provides expanded development opportunities in the region that complement training and academy efforts by P360 Performance Sports Hattiesburg. The club may see increased engagement as a result of this grassroots growth.
