Gwangju’s archery spotlight turned to Nam‑gu District Office archer Lee Seungyun, who joined a public festival walk on July 5 at Gwangju’s 5·18 Democratic Square. The event, organized to support the upcoming World Para Archery Championships, featured “archery fireworks” and drawing experiences, and was attended by more than 800 participants including Lee Seungyun and fellow archery gold medalist Choi Miseon (Kwangju Bank TenTen Archery Team). Lee Seungyun’s presence highlighted the connection between the local archery community—such as 광주광역시남구청—and the city’s efforts to promote archery ahead of the major international event. The festival also underscored Gwangju’s preparation for global archery competitions.
