The Morristown 1776 Association Football Club

FC Motown is noted as the spiritual successor to The Morristown 1776 Association Football Club, which operated from 2007 to 2012 in Morristown, New Jersey. The Morristown 1776 Association Football Club, nicknamed "the Continentals" and known for maroon and white colours, competed in the North Jersey Soccer League and Morris County Senior Soccer Association before disbanding. FC Motown has carried on the legacy of community-based soccer in the region, building on the foundation laid by the earlier club.
