Emerald City Football Club (ECFC)

Emerald City Football Club (ECFC) has announced updated youth age group structures for the upcoming 2026–27 season, aligning with national standards from US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer. Beginning with tryouts in spring 2026, the club will implement new groupings, including U8 through U19 categories. Tryouts are scheduled from April through May, with seasons starting between late May and early June depending on age group. The restructured framework aims to eliminate the longstanding “trapped” team issue and synchronize club schedules more closely with league formats. ECFC will debut these changes in its Elite Academy and Development programs, enhancing developmental pathways for youth players in the Seattle region.
