Elk Grove Baseball continued its strong performance as the Elk Grove Thundering Herd secured a 7‑0 home victory over the McClatchy Lions on March 7, 2026. The team extended its home win streak to seven games dating back to the prior season. Senior pitcher Chase Dyer delivered a standout outing, allowing only two hits and no earned runs over five innings. Offensively, Hudson Hall led the charge with a 2‑for‑4 effort that included five RBIs, two runs and a triple, while Chase Groves added two hits and two runs. The Thundering Herd batted .414 as a team, significantly outpacing McClatchy’s .167 average. Elk Grove baseball will return to action at home against Davis Senior High School at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
