The Army Squash Complex in Dhaka Cantonment hosted the conclusion of the first CAS International Squash 2026, wherein Army played a central venue role. Egypt’s Yasin Sodiof, ranked 85th globally, secured the championship by defeating Malaysia’s Duncan Lee, ranked 95th, in the final. The event featured 24 world‑ranked professional players from nine countries and was held under the direct patronage of the Chief of Army Staff, General Waker‑Uz‑Zaman, who also served as chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. Bangladesh’s emerging talent Md. Aminul Islam of BKSP was recognised as the best Bangladeshi player, highlighting the club’s commitment to fostering domestic squash development through Army‑supported infrastructure and events.
