Dane Dunning of the Tacoma Rainiers was named Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week for the period of May 11–17 after a strong outing against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys. On May 13, Dunning delivered five shutout innings, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out four on 81 pitches. The performance marked his first scoreless appearance of the season and tied him for the most 5.0-inning scoreless starts in the league this year. The Tacoma Rainiers will return to action May 26 at Cheney Stadium against the Las Vegas Aviators.
