The city of Kewanee has approved a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) agreement clearing the way for The Player’s Edge, Inc. to establish a manufacturing facility for outdoor athletic playing surfaces. The agreement will fund up to $248,000 in building improvements. The Player’s Edge, Inc. is expected to create 10 to 12 jobs in the community, as the company begins operations at a long-vacant site on Burlington Avenue. City officials anticipate that the investment will support local economic development while revitalizing unused industrial space.
