Chula Vista FC has unveiled plans for its newly formed MLS Next Select team to visit Arizona Western College on Saturday. The select squad, comprising MLS Next and Elite Academy players, will engage in matches against Division I college programs and participate in a campus tour. Academy Director José Hector Diaz highlighted the value of exposing young athletes to collegiate environments, allowing them to experience on‑campus life and gain visibility from college coaching staff. The event is set to become an annual fixture, aimed at fostering both on‑field development and academic aspirations for academy players. The Royal Academy remains focused on similar pathways for development.
