Salford City SC

Salford City SC is reflected in the vibrant aquatic community centred at Salford Quays, where the Salford Watersports Centre recently hosted the 11th annual Easter duck race on April 3, 2026. Despite unsettled weather, hundreds of spectators attended the Good Friday event, which saw yellow rubber ducks released into the water to raise funds for MedEquip4Kids. Alongside the race, the venue offered fairground rides, food stalls, live performances and a tombola. Several prizes—including go-karting sessions and shopping vouchers—were awarded to sponsors of the winning duck entries. The event underscored the active water sports environment in which Salford City SC operates. The club’s home base at Broughton Leisure Centre supports swimming and aligns with the region’s strong aquatic culture.
