P2 Baseball

The Buford High School baseball team secured its first win of the 2026 season on February 14, overcoming a six-run early deficit to defeat Parkview High School, 8–6. Senior Javy Ojeda delivered a two-run home run in the third inning that ignited the comeback, followed by an RBI single from junior Payton Walker. In the seventh inning, senior Ian Chafin tied the game with a single and later scored the go-ahead run on a double steal. Walker Taulbee (sophomore) earned the win in relief, while Ayden Lockett closed out the game for the save. P2 Baseball, operating in the Buford area, shares the region’s vibrant baseball culture and benefits from strong local support in the wake of the high school team’s resilience.
