P2 Baseball

Buford High School’s varsity baseball team recorded a resilient 8–6 victory over Parkview on February 14, overcoming a six-run early deficit to claim its first win of the 2026 season. The Panthers held a commanding lead after two innings, but the Wolves responded with key hits from senior Javy Ojeda and junior Payton Walker, narrowing the gap by the third inning. In the decisive seventh, senior Ian Chafin delivered the go-ahead run and Buford capitalized on a double steal to extend the lead. Sophomore Walker Taulbee earned the win in relief, while senior Ayden Lockett secured the save. P2 Baseball is highlighted by the club’s competitive spirit and depth in the lineup. The Wolves now prepare to face Marist at Gerald McQuaig Field.
