Brookings Friends of Baseball is set to commence its summer season at Bob Shelden Field toward the end of May, following a highly successful “Bring on Baseball” banquet that achieved record attendance and fundraising totals. The proceeds will support facility enhancements such as batting cage maintenance, new equipment including pitching machines, and contributions toward the organization’s indoor development fund. The Brookings Friends of Baseball will field multiple teams across various age levels this season, including two junior legion teams (Black and Red), a senior legion team, plus 16U, 14U, 13U, 13/14U, 12U, 11U, two 10U teams, and a 9U team, along with an in-house youth league. Bob Shelden Field will serve as a central venue throughout the summer.
