Daigokan Judo continues to observe strong regional developments as three British judoka claimed top honours at the All‑Ireland Open Judo Kata Championships, held on 24 May 2026 at the Dublin School of Judo. Among the winners, 14‑year‑old Amélie Prosser earned the Junior Ju‑no‑kata title, while Val Kelly and Tony Prosser achieved multiple first‑place finishes across several Kodokan kata categories, including Nage‑no‑kata, Katame‑no‑kata, Ju‑no‑kata, Itsutsu‑no‑kata and Koshiki‑no‑kata, complemented by silver medals in Goshin‑jutsu and Kime‑no‑kata. Their performances underline the continued vitality of kata competition in Ireland, which remains of interest to clubs such as Daigokan Judo.
