With a modern turf infield under LED lights and a covered grandstand, Bob Shelden Field has reestablished itself as Brookings’ baseball hub following a renovation completed in 2021 [1][3]. Set inside the Dwiggins–Medary Park complex at 530 Elm Avenue, the ballpark anchors community play on the south side of town [2][6].

The upgrade added a new drainage system, rebuilt dugouts and bullpens, improved spectator netting and fan amenities, while pairing the turf infield with a natural‑grass outfield [1]. The grand reopening came in mid‑April 2021 [3].

Dimensions check in at approximately 320 feet down the left‑field line, 355 to left‑center, 375 to straightaway center, 395 to right‑center and 340 to right, with concessions and restrooms on site [2].
