Hockey club Diksmuide is located within a Belgian region where teams increasingly adopt air domes to mitigate the impact of winter weather on training and matches. These inflatable structures, offered by RSI SPORTS, provide insulation and independence from heavily booked public sports facilities. Clubs such as HC Lokeren, HC Blackbirds and top-tier HC Gantoise have already implemented air domes, enabling improved continuity and growth during colder months. With youth participation rising nationally by approximately 8% per year, such infrastructure innovations are becoming central to sustaining hockey’s development in West Flanders and beyond.
