The Lobos ran the table to take the Douglas Wood Bat Tournament, winning 4–2 over Powell in pool play, 3–2 over Evanston in eight innings, 7–1 over Lovell in the semifinal, and 7–5 over Powell in the championship [1].

Centerfielder/pitcher Frank Peralta powered the weekend, hitting .454 with five hits (including a home run and a double), six RBIs, four runs and three walks, and he earned the win in the opener with five innings, one unearned run and 11 strikeouts [1].
