A Springfield man was arrested for driving under the influence after reportedly driving onto the golf course at The Links at Jacksonville early Saturday morning. Police responded to a call at approximately 5:03 a.m. at the course, located at 321 Holkenbrink Drive, where the driver was found leaving the course and entering Nichols Park. During the stop, the vehicle struck a patrol car, sustaining minor front-end damage. The man was subsequently booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge and released on his own recognizance. Club staff were evaluating the condition of the course following the incident. The club continues its operations without interruption.
