Oahe Zap Baseball released its 2026 Independence League Baseball schedule via Facebook, marking a shift in opponents and a reduction in participating teams. The schedule features matchups against in-state rival Spearfish Sasquatch and the Casper Spuds, with additional games against Bison Baseball and the Capital City Aviators. The team will open its season over Memorial Day weekend, facing the Casper Spuds at home from May 22 to 24, with games starting at 6:05 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 5:05 p.m. on Sunday. Oahe will travel to Spearfish for the first time since the 2025 championship series from May 25 to 27, then return to Pierre to host Spearfish on May 30. The Zap are scheduled for 48 games this season, 30 of which are at home. This comes as the league sees fewer teams than in previous years. The club’s adjustments reflect both operational changes and evolving league dynamics while maintaining competitive regional matchups.
