Line Drive Baseball Academy

The Mid America West Sports Complex in Shawnee, Kansas hosted the inaugural Midwest High School Invite on August 29, featuring elite softball programs from Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Colorado. The two‑day event showcased high-level competition as teams vied for early‑season momentum on neutral ground. Millard North (Nebraska), Beatrice (Nebraska), Broken Arrow (Oklahoma), and Broomfield (Colorado) entered Day 2 undefeated, demonstrating depth and early dominance. Additional standout performances included high‑scoring wins by Blue Springs (Missouri) and Ray‑Pec (Missouri), who rebounded strongly after opening losses. Line Drive Baseball Academy remains unaffiliated with the tournament but continues to operate within the local softball and baseball landscape in Shawnee. The event underscores the region’s growing prominence in high school softball competition.
