Manchester DTA Marvels Women, competing in the National Volleyball League’s Division 1 North, have solidified their position as promotion contenders. In a recent weekend of fixtures (24–25 January), the team delivered a straight‑sets win over Everton Belugas (25‑23, 25‑19, 25‑21), marking their sixth victory in eight matches. That result propelled the club into second place, directly challenging University of Nottingham, the current league leaders, for a promotion spot. The club demonstrated resilience throughout, including a five‑set reverse‑sweep win over Coventry and Warwick Riga (20‑25, 18‑25, 25‑18, 27‑25, 15‑13), underlining their ambitions heading into the season’s run‑in.
