The Clearwater region is set to enhance its competitive softball infrastructure with a $20 million overhaul of the Eddie C. Moore Softball Complex. Scheduled to begin after the 2027 Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational concludes, the project will introduce four stadium-style mini-facilities with press boxes, increase seating capacity to 2,000, install LED lighting, and build concrete dugouts. The enhancements aim to support elite events held at the venue, including the annual Clearwater Invitational, and improve conditions for players, coaches, scouts and spectators. While DevX Player Development remains in the Tampa Bay area offering baseball and softball training, the facility upgrades in Clearwater reflect broader regional investment in baseball and softball excellence.
