Pickleball Gisborne has produced notable results at the New Zealand Pickleball Open in Auckland, where club members claimed multiple podium finishes. Victoria West secured the women’s singles title in the 4.0 (advanced) rating category, defeating clubmate Sophie Hawkes, who placed runner-up. In the women’s doubles 3.5–4 rating division, Paare Ahuriri Leach and Chey Tarawa of Gisborne lifted the gold medal. Mixed doubles accolades included a silver from Raph Heria and Kataraina Sanft in the 3.5 and below category. The club had earlier accumulated the most points at the Mount Pickleball Classic in Tauranga, showcasing strong regional representation. The series of performances underscores Pickleball Gisborne’s competitive presence in national tournaments.
