The Altoona Baseball League’s AAABA division will launch inter‑league regular‑season play with the Johnstown AAABA League starting in summer 2026. The partnership, approved unanimously by league presidents Matt Cursio and Don Stanton, will feature each Altoona team playing two games apiece against each of the four Johnstown teams in addition to their intra‑league schedule. Inter‑league games will rotate among Altoona’s refurbished Veterans Field, Johnstown’s Sargent Stadium at the Point, and the Mount Aloysius College baseball field. Playoffs in each league will continue to determine qualifiers for the 2026 national tournament, beginning August 3. The arrangement aims to enhance competitive balance and retain local talent within Blair County.
