Ironbridge Baseball Academy North

Virginia State University’s baseball team is set to support a new elementary school baseball league organized by Richmond Public Schools, launching in spring 2026. Eight RPS elementary schools will participate, with clinics scheduled from August 18–21, 2025, at Fairfield Court, Cardinal and Oak Grove‑Bellemeade, led by RPS athletics coordinator Dr. Stefanie Ramsey and featuring members of the VSU Trojans, including head coach Merrill Morgan. The initiative, supported by the SOLE program, Richmond’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities, the Spirit of Baseball organization, Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Alumni Association, aims to introduce baseball to younger students in the Richmond area.
