The Sindicato de Futbolistas Profesionales (Sifup) has formally accused Santiago City of violating labor laws and undermining the dignity of players. According to the union, the club’s management reportedly excluded players from training sessions and delayed paying salaries beyond legally permitted deadlines, while some players have alleged experiencing mistreatment. The complaint has been submitted to Chile’s ANFP and the Dirección del Trabajo for investigation. Santiago City, based in Las Condes and competing in the Segunda División Profesional, has not issued any official response regarding the allegations as of yet.
