Wilmington Sharks

The Wilmington Sharks captured the 2024 Petitt Cup Championship, sweeping the Lexington County Blowfish two games to none to secure their first title in the Petitt Cup era. The team finished the regular season with a 30–19 record, claiming the East Division championship after defeating the Peninsula Pilots in a three‑game sweep. The Sharks’ postseason pitching was dominant, registering a 1.50 ERA. Under the leadership of Russ Burroughs, the club has continued its strong performance in the Coastal Plain League.
