The Rome Baseball Association has received a $35,000 grant from The Edwin J. Wadas Foundation to fund critical repairs at DeLutis Field, which is utilized by local youth teams including Rome City School District, Little League, and American Legion organizations. The funds will be allocated to restoring the field’s lighting system, improving safety and extending usable hours for practices and games ahead of upcoming seasons. The investment follows substantial damage caused by a tornado in summer 2024 and reflects continued support for youth baseball infrastructure in the area.
