Hofstra University recently completed significant enhancements to its athletic venues, including the baseball field and adjacent softball facilities in Hempstead, hard by West Hempstead. The project at Bill Edwards Stadium, home of Hofstra softball, involved a new outfield fence with padding, tension-system backstop netting and extended padding from dugout to dugout. Additionally, the field now features upgraded drainage and a high-performance ALLSPORT XPS turf surface across outfield and foul territory. Though not labeled as the "Baseball field," University Field, the home of Hofstra Pride baseball, benefits from the campus-wide facility improvements and remains a key venue for baseball and softball in the region.
